Kyffin Square. Eat, Dress, Design, Rest.

The Kyffin Square family of businesses.

Kyffin Square is the traditional heart of the old City of Bangor, Gwynedd named after Richard Kyffin, Dean of Bangor in the fifteenth century.

Known as Bangor's village, Kyffin Square is where you'll find creative, individual and independent retailers and businesses against a background of beautiful Victorian architecture.

Kyffin Cafe Deli was the City's first vegetarian cafe. A changing daily menu of world food, is prepared and cooked each morning along with delicious, home made cakes. Besides Lavazza Rain Forest Alliance coffee beans, we serve 40 different kinds of loose leaf tea & Luscombe organic fruits drinks to enjoy with your food.

Jo Pott Mercer, Clothes. We make our core collection in just three colours, Black, Indigo Blue and Natural. While introducing new designs, we carry on with the perennial favourites. Our preference for natural material in a restricted colour palette is a celebration of the simplicity of the hand loomed product. Our approach to design is minimalist or reductive. We pare away layers, prints and intricate weaving techniques to see the natural fabric. Our vocabulary of design includes pintuck and pleat, where we use the fabric to decorate itself. Our inspired designs incorporate fabric manipulations, asymetry, and interesting finishings in wooden and coconut buttons.

We offer you a personal service to find exactly the right clothes for you. Call us & tell us what you are looking for and we'll photograph all the possible options we have. www.jopott.com

Jo Pott Mercer, Interiors. Most of the stock we offer in our emporium are one off pieces. We may be able to offer similar, but rarely the same. That makes my job in sourcing all our stock in India & Nepal interesting, the shop looks different from any other and ensures your personal collection won’t be like any one else’s.

Mercer Interiors offers a comprehensive collection of textiles for use in the home - throws, quilts, cushions and bolsters, rugs, table cloths and napkins to name a few. We also offer antique furniture, tribal art, contemporary British ceramics, hand - made paper products, silver jewellery, costume jewellery, lamps and light shades. Oh, and so very much more! We offer a selection of hand block printed designs. Each item celebrates the immense amount of work which goes into their production, though some are contemporary designs, others are traditional and virtually unchanged for centuries. We encourage our customers to appreciate works of everyday life in India. Touching and holding a piece of intricate work helps one grasp a feeling for the colossal amount of energy and care which goes into hand made work. www.jopott.com
